Happy Bookaversary! 🥳

It's Hard to Believe, but Be Still My Undying Heart is 1 year old today.

Today's the 3-2-1 anniversary of all of my Maria Caiazza books!

1 year since Be Still My Undying Heart released.
2 years since Seven Ravens was released.
3 years since Heartless released.

It's kind of humbling to say that I don't have a book dropping today, but I'm okay with that. I've been working hard in the background and wrote 14,000 words last month. I'm proud of that number and the work that I've been doing.

Anyway, as a special treat, I've discounted all 3 books to $.99. The price hasn't hit every marketplace yet, but it's already showing on quite a few.

What's going on?

My current read right now is Streams of Silver by R. A. Salvatore. It's part of my r/fantasy bingo card this year under the "explorers and rangers" category. I've already read 8 out of my 25 books for the year, and I'm actually wondering if I'll finish by March 31, 2027. This is my 5th read by Salvatore and the 5th book in the Legend of Drizzt series. I enjoy Salvatore's work, but man is it heavy. I always feel like I need to take a break from the work every few hours when it starts getting too dark. Has anybody else felt this way with a book before? What book was it or who is the author?

For shows I'm watching right now, I'm re-watching Skeleton Knight in Another World before starting season 2 that just dropped. I'm also eagerly awaiting the next episodes of Ascendance of a Bookworm (Season 4), That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime (Season 4), and Reborn as a Vending Machine (Season 3). Yeah... I'm a nerd. A nerd who is kind of addicted to isekai fantasy books. In case you aren't familiar, isekai means, "another world," and usually follows a protagonist who is reborn or inexplicably transported to another (usually magical) universe. Did I say I'm a nerd?

Life stuff... Linux has a huge learning curve if you've used Windows and Mac your entire life. I decided on Fedora KDE plasma for my new rig. It's running well at the moment, except for this thing where I can't actually upgrade to Fedora 44 right now for some reason. A couple of my files aren't deleting, so they can't be replaced by the new updated files that are needed for the latest update. If you happen to know how to fix this, let me know!

It's also the boy's birthday this month, so I'm looking forward to celebrating that with him.

I think that's all I've got at the moment. So if you haven't already, go grab a copy of one of the books I've got on sale, and if you already own them, let a friend know that they're available at a discount.

Chat with you next time, folks. Peace!
-Maria

Home of modern fairy tale retellings with a dark fantasy twist and a soon to be prolific series about villainous zodiac signs.

You Say I'm Supposed to Write HOW MANY Newsletters a month? In the down time where I don't necessarily feel like writing or working on YouTube videos, etc., I've been consuming business videos on YouTube, and you know what so many different internet gurus tell people to do? Send daily or weekly emails. I don't know about you all, but #1... this girl has NOTHING to say for a newsletter on a daily or weekly basis. 😂 #2, if an author I followed sent me a daily email, I would likely unsubscribe...

Book Snippets and New Releases Before we get to the snippets and new release book, here are some updates: I started tracking my goals differently in the last few months, and it has been game changing! (I wrote 6,500 words in 3 weeks. Waaaaay better than I had been doing previously) I caught the flu last week and I am so grateful I changed my content creation schedule. I'm VERY behind on things this week, but my YouTube channel is scheduled out to the end of April still. I finally feel like my...
