I've Been Writing So You Can Read!

Book Snippets and New Releases

Before we get to the snippets and new release book, here are some updates:

  • I started tracking my goals differently in the last few months, and it has been game changing! (I wrote 6,500 words in 3 weeks. Waaaaay better than I had been doing previously)
  • I caught the flu last week and I am so grateful I changed my content creation schedule. I'm VERY behind on things this week, but my YouTube channel is scheduled out to the end of April still. I finally feel like my work, creativity, and life balance are in alignment
  • I finished the second draft of the first chapter for my upcoming series. You can read it below! (And if you're excited for more, consider joining my Patreon. My members get access to chapters first.)
  • A writer friend of mine has a new Easter themed SPICY release. Find it down below and show him some love.

A Poison for Her Future: Chapter 1 (Katerina)

You don't notice a consistent micro dose of poison until it's too late to stop the inevitable. My apprenticeship with Maester Hammund is the type of poison that will kill me, and if I somehow survive it, I will be forever disfigured, unrecognizable from the woman who entered the academy a decade ago.

It's funny. I dove head first into alchemy as soon as I was tested for latent mana. I much preferred academics to my other options. Namely, what would amount to an arranged, loveless and largely political marriage.

I think becoming the trophy wife to an influential merchant would've destroyed me less than studying under the wretched excuse for a man the academy saddled me with. I no longer even feel badly when I essentially rob him blind every week.

To think he hasn't noticed yet, four years later...

New Release

When his motion sensor goes off on Easter Eve, Josh grabs his shotgun and throws open the back door where he expects to see the feckin' rabbits helping themselves to his vegetables again. What he finds sitting in his garden chair is a wild a bunny girl - damp from the rain and locked out of her house.

What I'm Reading

I recently finished the Scholomance Trilogy and recorded a video about it. I also do monthly shorts with my Storygraph stats and such.

Anyway, that's all I've got for now. If you ever wonder what I have going on, YouTube or my website blog are the best places to check. Thanks for being here.

Much Love,

Maria

It's Maria Caiazza back up in the hizz-ouse, baby! Okay, maybe that was a bit much, even for me. It's been a weird couple of months since my last newsletter. As I mentioned last time, I am finally out of the funk I was in for the last year or so, and I am doing my best to invest in myself and my future so that I can make writing and content creation a career in the future. Let's get to some updates, shall we? Personal Updates In the past, I've shied away from getting too deeply into personal...
